So I haven't actually been to school in a while. That was... Weird. There was a lot less fuss over me looking the way I do, and that was pretty cool. Couldn't get a date for the school dance this time, though. Bummer, huh?

Oh! Annnd! Rue invited me to come to the Opera House after Raven left, and I haven't said hi to everyone here yet, so... Hi! What's up, dudes? I was here for a little while after I first arrived, but I didn't pick up my own room, then. I... Hope we can get along and all that stuff.

And now for the problems faced by all students every exam period. Do I stay up and study, or do I get my brainy sleep? Do I go for oatmeal or Frosted Mini Wheats in the morning?

I kinda got the ultimatum from my old man, though. If I don't get good grades this semester, I'm grounded until I'm an all As student. Like that's gonna happen, though. I'm pretty sure the only way I could manage that would be to just load up on zoologies and biologies and, I don't know, equestrian classes.

My parents were really, really smart scientist types. I'm not like that, and I couldn't tell you what they did, exactly, but I do know that we traveled a lot. A lot of the places we went were really remote. Wild, you know?

One time we were in Africa, in the jungle somewhere, and I was playing with toy cars outside. Then I saw a green monkey, and I was really, really little so I didn't think that was suspicious or anything. I just thought, maybe, "Ooh, a monkey!"

And it sort of bit me. And by 'sort of,' I mean it really bit me.

Turns out it's a disease that turned the monkey green. Sakutia's called 'green fever' for a reason, I guess. Animals can survive it, but it'll kill people within, like, two days. It's really fast, and I caught it almost right away, I think. I don't remember a lot of it, but I caught a really bad fever and everything hurt. I didn't sleep really well, and I don't think my parents slept at all.

Doing whatever scientific stuff they did, my parents saved me. Anyway, duh, I turned green. It wasn't until a while after that I learned I could transform into animals, too.

And there's probably a few examples from being a super-hero, but that's the one that kind of gets to me. I guess I was really lucky, to have parents like that.
